Bring in the first days of spring with a field trip along the Shuswap River north of Grindrod including Riverside Road and Wildflight Farms. Time permitting, we’ll also take a short walk on the new Rail Trail to get a look at Rosamund Lake. There should be many ducks, geese and swans as well as a variety of hawks, eagles and landbirds. We’ll have several spotting scopes available so you can get great looks at the birds. Bring a lunch and be prepared to be out until the mid-afternoon.
Leaders will be John and Marcia Woods, and Doug Mongerson. Meet at the Junglemania Parking Lot in Salmon Arm at 8:00 AM to organize carpooling.
Difficulty Rating DR-1/DR-2 (flat terrain with some longer walks). Bathrooms are available at Wildflight Farms. Bring a lunch and water.
