Our regular monthly meeting will be held at 7pm in the library at Salmon Arm Secondary School, Sullivan Campus in Salmon Arm. See panel to left for mapping and address details.
The meeting will likely begin with a presentation by club member Ken Raynor, who will discuss our Motus wildlife tracking station. Ken was instrumental in the development of this project and currently looks after ongoing equipment maintenance and data management needs.
For those who are unfamiliar with this program, please check our Motus project page. The project has only been in operation for about a year and a half but has already yielded fascinating results, with a promise of more as spring bird migrations begin in the coming weeks. Ken will bring us up to speed on a number of fascinating bird migrations tracked by our station, and discuss operational insights and options for future upgrades.
