Our regular monthly meeting will be held at 7pm in the library at Salmon Arm Secondary School, Sullivan Campus in Salmon Arm. See panel to left for mapping and address details.

Club member John Woods will begin the meeting with a presentation describing his recent trip to the west coast during herring spawning season. John is a distinguished retired zoologist, internationally recognized birder and photographer, and nature writer. Following completion of his PhD, he enjoyed a long and impactful career as a research scientist with Parks Canada, contributing valuable studies on wildlife ecology, animal diets, and ecosystem management. In his retirement, Woods has become widely recognized for his expertise in "birding-by-ear", having recorded nearly 300 bird species across the province to help document their unique vocalizations. John’s presentations are always energetic, full of enthusiasm and not to be missed. Guests are always welcome so please join us if this interests you.
