Enjoy a morning walk on the wharf with local nature experts. Bring your family and learn about Western Grebes, as well as other songbirds, waterfowl and wildlife.
Meet at the SABNES Nature House, near the main parking area south of Salmon Arm Wharf. We will then make our way slowly out to the end of the wharf, helping children see and identify birds (and turtles!) with the aid of spotting scopes and binoculars supplied by event organizers.
The event begins at 09:00 and we will be finished by 11:00. Parents with strollers are welcome and will find the route easy-going. Washrooms available.
This cooperative event is presented by NatureKids BC, the Shuswap Naturalist Club and the Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement Society. Leaders are Molly Cooperman, Cathy Meakes, and Marcia and John Woods.
Please contact Molly (salmonarm@naturekidsbc.ca or 778-231-2515) for additional information if needed.
Difficulty Rating: DR-1 (easy).
